Pi day!

"Pi" day - a mathematical holiday!

Every year on March 14, the world celebrates  International Pi Day.

π Day was first celebrated in 1988 at the Exploratorium Science Museum in San Francisco, it was founded by physicist Larry Shaw, who stated that in the American date system (date/month), March 14 corresponds to the first digits of pi, π = 3.14…

The concept of π- 3.14 dates back to Archimedes, although the term pi, denoted by the Greek letter - π, was coined by the mathematician William Jones in 1707.
